Giant Salt Mountains in Southern France

Yesterday we mentioned the salt in Aigues Mortes, France, salt under the brand "La Balaine", which means "the whale".  Here's a photo of a Renault parked in front of the massive salt piles (more like mountains) that are just a few hundred feet away from the ramparts in the other photo.

By the way, you can walk on top of those ramparts, completely circling the town in about a half an hour.  You can Buy pictures of France and other themes on our website.

Skiing or dreaming about majestic, snowy mountains

Skiing? . . . what would be the dream after a few days of a mix of snow, slush and ice here in the Pacific Northwest?  . . . How about skiing on Mt. Hood . . .  or farther away, at Avoriaz in the Haute Savoie region of France?  Well . . . if it is only a dream . . . you'll find the pictures at Mesman Images.
